The Grand Palais

The Grand Palais is one of the great historic buildings of Paris. Created for the 1900 Exposition Universelle, this monumental exhibition space features a glass roof rising to a height of 45 metres beneath its central dome. The vast ‘nave’ extends for 200 metres at ground level, covering some 13,500 square metres in a single span.

The Grand Palais is the setting for a range of prestigious cultural events, including contemporary art exhibitions and fairs.

The Grand Palais was transformed into a Parisian fantasy land for around 2,000 guests when Sonia Rykiel for H&M celebrated their launch.

Embodying the essence of Paris as much as Sonia Rykiel herself, the glittering city inside the Grand Palais was like a sparkling and surreal theme park for adults. The collections were displayed on floats which emerged from a recreation of the Arc de Triomphe, with a Parisian funfair as backdrop.
