Dogs are everywhere and part of the Parisian restaurant and café scene. You’ll find them waiting patiently in fancy hair salons, accompanying passengers in the Metro as well as strolling parks and walking along streets with or without a leash.

According to estimates, there are over 200,000 dogs in just in Paris. A total of 8,500,000 canines live in France, giving the country has the seventh largest dog population in the world!

Thinking of taking your four-legged friend with you to the French capital? If your pooch can be carried in a shoulder bag and there’s not a sign specifically forbidding dogs, their usually welcome everywhere in Paris.
